Ventaro is a travel planning web application built around a simple but powerful idea: plan your trip completely, without the pressure to book anything until you're ready. Users save flights, hotels, and activities, track live price updates, build full itineraries, and share their plans — all in one place, with no booking walls or forced conversion funnels. We designed and developed the full platform, delivering a clean, intuitive planning experience for the German travel market.

Brief
Ventaro needed a web application that felt genuinely useful as a standalone planning tool — not just a booking engine in disguise. The product had to give users full control over their trip planning process: saving options, comparing prices over time, building itineraries, and sharing plans with travel companions — without any pressure to transact. The design had to be clean, fast, and approachable enough for everyday travelers, not just travel enthusiasts.

Challenge
Most travel platforms are built to convert — every feature exists to push the user toward a booking. Building a platform where the value is in the planning itself, not the transaction, required a fundamentally different product philosophy. The challenge was making "saving and organizing" feel as satisfying and complete as booking — and giving users enough features to genuinely replace the scattered spreadsheets, browser tabs, and notes apps that most people use to plan trips today.

Solution
We built a focused, feature-complete trip planning web app where users can create trip workspaces, add and organize flights, hotels, and activities, track prices over time, and share their full itinerary with others. The experience was designed to feel lightweight and fast — no onboarding friction, no upsells, no noise. Just a clean interface that gets out of the way and lets users plan.
Approach
The application was built on a modern React/Next.js stack, with a backend designed to handle trip data, price tracking, and real-time sharing cleanly and reliably. The UX was built around the core planning workflow — create a trip, add elements, organize by date, share — with each step made as frictionless as possible. The German market context informed the product tone: precise, functional, and trustworthy rather than flashy or sales-driven.
