SpacePay needed a production-ready Android application that could be installed on existing POS hardware and handle the full crypto payment flow — from QR code generation and wallet scanning to real-time transaction confirmation — while feeling as fast and familiar as a traditional card payment to both merchants and customers.
Challenge
The core challenge was making cryptocurrency payments feel completely ordinary. Most crypto payment solutions in the market introduce friction — separate screens, manual wallet addresses, unfamiliar interfaces. SpacePay needed an app that mirrored the simplicity of existing card payment flows so that neither merchants nor customers had to think differently about how they were transacting.
Solution
We built a terminal-agnostic Android APK that installs directly onto existing POS devices and handles the complete payment lifecycle — sale amount input, QR code generation, wallet scan, transaction verification, and instant confirmation — all within a clean, minimal interface designed to match the speed and simplicity of traditional payment processing.
Approach
The application was built with the merchant's workflow as the primary constraint. Every interaction was designed to require minimal steps and zero crypto knowledge from the cashier's side. The customer-facing flow mirrors scanning a standard QR code, keeping the experience intuitive for crypto users across 300+ supported wallets. Performance and reliability were prioritized throughout — in a retail payment context, any delay or ambiguity in the confirmation flow is unacceptable.
